Third Party Liability
All MCA recovery programs offer a cutting edge approach to converting delinquent accounts into paid accounts through our investigative identifying systems. This unique identification process recovers new opportunities for revenue utilizing the following process:
- Forwarding a patient incident questionnaire to the member.
- Notifying the member and making them aware of the contract in an HMO policy.
- Making the member aware of the notice of medical lien/attorney lien agreement.
- Making the member aware of the various expenses occurred and which claims are recoverable in a third party incident.
How effective is your Third Party Liability recovery system? If you’re doing it in-house, is your recovery rate worth the added overhead and administrative costs? Do you find yourself wishing for a wider profit margin? If you have a vendor in place, how many cases are they identifying? What’s their recovery rate? Are your accounts receiving the personal business attention they need? The firm of Meyer Christian & Associates is your recovery boutique agency for life.
Our Third Party Liability service effectively pin points all types of recovery opportunities, tracks and monitors all aspects of the settlement. Our typical recovery services include auto liability, homeowner’s liability, workers compensation and no-fault medical coverage. We understand that the effective recovery of third party liability is an integral part of any company’s receivables. MCA has a proven track record of quickly recovering outstanding debt without alienating your patients.
Investigation/Recovery: Our unique investigation determines new revenue by processing cases through the investigation department to determine likelihood of Third Party Liability or Work Comp potential, and to identify the various carriers, liable parties, and attorneys. Next, cases are assigned to claims adjusters and/or staff attorneys for the filing of the appropriate liens. This process creates an added benefit that health plans and/or at risk providers may pass on to their contracted providers as an enhancement to their bottom line.
MCA’s in-house computer system schedules each case for timely follow-up, case management, settlement negotiations, trials, hearings, etc. All monies are deposited into client trust accounts. Accounting, disbursements, and management reports are performed at the end of each month and are submitted by the 15th of the following month.
